The Monmouth area of the project covers the main town, suburbs and surrounding villages, stretching to Llandogo, Skenfrith and Raglan.
Regular activities in the Monmouth area include
Wednesday
- Chillout Group at the Attik Youth Centre, 6pm – 8pm. Again a drop in session costing £3.00
Friday
- We run a Friday group on a Friday afternoon, usually in partnership with the Abergavenny group. This might involve a leisure activity or walk followed by a meal. Some of the young people in Monmouth then go to the pub to play pool on a Friday evening together. This is organised amongst themselves.
During school holidays and on some weekends other events and activities are arranged depending on the young people’s desires and availability. These vary and advanced notice will be given closer to the times.
Generally on a week to week basis, those who aren’t in school or College have got involved in volunteering roles in the local community, helping in charity shops in town or with the social groups that run at the Bridges Centre. Support is given via job coaching if necessary and we work with the young people to explore different work based opportunities.
